Retrospect

WOW! WOW!! WAOOH!!! We are at the very end.... but its not over yet...a few more days to go. I remember my 1st post this year... and how I encouraged us to live for God this year and reflect His glory. I remember asking us to be totally dependent on the Holy Spirit for help so as to be able to achieve this. The essence was for us to let God work in us and through us. so that fellow colleagues, family and friends will see evnts unfolding in our lives and know without any doubt that its God's hand working out His plans for our lives. I thank God we are alive because he has decided for us to be, but we must cease to be alive for nothing sake. As we prepare fo the year end and its celebrations we should not for once forget, why we are here... and the reason we celebrate. Tooo much of everything is bad, so in moderation should we do things this season... pls don't forget the sick, poor, orphans this season... I believe we can do something to make 'em smile like a smiley. Remain blessed... and my God shall supply alll your needs according to His riches in glory through christ Jesus...in this year and the next.... AMEN! AMEN!! AMEN!!! SEASON'S GREETINGS.... Ti

Time Time Time

If you are alive to read on this blog .... you have every reason to give praise to Amighty God for giving you life till now.
It's the last day of the second to the last month of the year. I'm glad I am living to testify.

Mid month crisis

A lot of us experience this disease many times during our lifetimes especially when we are in paid employment. Some may wonder WHAT DISEASE? Anyways we are talking about that time of the month when we all wish we have a lot of money. This is when we know we have no money to fall on. This is the time the savers and the spenders are exposed. We tend to love the calendar more and take longer moments to stare at it. This is when we just pray for the earth to move faster faster so pay day comes again. We ask 'Where did all my money go?'. This is the time many people have MONEY sickness.

This is not a gender specific sickness and depending on the spending habits of the patient, the worse its symptoms. Many atimes we are more change conscious, price sensitive, not ready to give. We pray we don't have a birthday or an occassion when we might have to declare for the celebrant(no bugga). We all really hate this time of month, when we are broke, broke, broke...

The spirees will begin quoting scriptures while the non spirees are just looking for any fast sharp RUNS to raise monwy befor pay day. What is the realistic thing to do? We all know, but we tend not to be disciplined enough to carry it out. It's so simple proper planning and money mangement. This includes budgeting and accountability. We also need to be good savers to say we do proper personal financial planning. For the ladies we need to cut down on BUY NOW!! PAY LATER!!! because many times when the salary gets to us we are broke already(we have too much to pay for). Guys let your babe know you're not a spend thrift and try not to create this false impression that you're always financially bouyant. Everyone should not let PEER pressure push them to spend too much befor they get half way through the month. Someone is saying adults don't have peer pressure... of cos they do ....they have classmates,colleagues, co church workers, all sorts of friends from different sects and associations... everyone wants to be recognized and will spend more than neccessary to draw attention to themselves...

I think we should meditate and think on these things...

Count down

My people its time to count down again, as we approach year end and holiday season... its getting too late to make plans for the season , so incase you've beeen too busy with work and all then you need to take a chill pill and get prepared for rest.

I hope to go to the interlands and enjoy local delicacies, go sight seeing and mountain climbing this season... i will also have to settle family and friends before i go on my rendezvous...

This is the time to look back and make drastic ammends before we get into yet another year, some of us thought that the year will not wind to a halt quickly... but wake up... we'll soon be in 2010...if ure not careful.

Beware of the times... count down time...

Plus one year

Many would wonder .... what I mean with my headline... I believe it's the simplest guess there could be... cos I was a year older a few days back... and for me its happy new year...
I thank God for life, and so many testimonies in the last year of my life...

There are so many reasons to praise Him....deliverances from all sorts of accidents from cooking accidents to okada accidents...i hear a laugh but i really must appreciate Him...

I look forward to a fulfilling future .... doing great things, inspiring people, touching more lives and being a blessing.

I hope you'll still be a part of my future.

Speaker Madam...

The Federal house of representatives of the Federal republic of Nigeria has been in a state of 'na wa o'...in recent times. In my last post in June...i was so happy to announce that we had a female speaker, but now... I'm not sure I'm still that proud of mummy Etteh, You know Nigerian politics is nothing like what obtains world over... so many natural laws don't apply

I heard about a senate representative in Yankee who had to resign because he had added a $15 receipt spent on personal stuff whilst on an official assignment with all the other receipts remitted to his office (which will be paid up with government purse). Immediately he was accused ... he wasted no time but thought of the situation as an integrity issue and resigned honorably.

Government office is no one's father's house/property...I wonder why we can't just do some things (like resign)...for the sake of respect or preservation of Family name... now no one wants to be associated to the name ETTEH... we've not even heard anything about madam speaker's husband or children(if she were your mum... what would you do?).

I strongly believe that this is a wake up call to young, up and coming leaders to learn simple things like integrity, respect... whilst on the way up the ladder...'cos if you don't have it when you're down or on the way up you will not have it when you get up there...

Your behavior is only a reflection of your character...

Where I went

I did not plan to abadon this blog...even if no one is reading it now...i know it will be read by millions soon...so I must make it a point of duty to drop a line here...'cos that's what the blog is for...dropping many lines... It's been over 3 months since my last post...
Been so busy planning my wedding ceremony to my Best friend...thank goodness the celebrations are over (about a month ago) and guess what I now live with someone I can't live without.

You really need to find that ordinary person who is so special to you to understand what I'm talking about. Many of us think...that person will be clad in robes and jewels and tend to be misled or miss HIM/HER...you know we couldn't have been better than those who did not recognize the messiah in the bible('cos they thought he would come from a earthly royal family) you know i hear some are still waiting for "the messiah"...lol

I found my Messiah spiritual way back...and now physical....last month...my wedding was just like what happens in the movies... i was smiling throughout...and happy...so was my bestfriend...he even danced more than I...both truly happy...and we did not get broke...tried not to want to impress anyone...but got really favoured by men and God...it really was a life changing event.

Still in the flow

Hi all,

Though it has been a while...it would suffice for you to know that this blog is still in circulation...I know a lot has happened since my last post...in our lives and even in this nation Nigeria.
it's a new dispensation for the nation Nigeria...we have a new President and for the first time in the 8yr old democracy we have a female house of reps speaker...

In the past months I've also been priviledged to be taught about missions and the mission field... apart from reaching out to unreached people groups by going to their countries physically...it just occured to me that a faster,easier and cheaper way is reaching out online...just like you're on to this blog and you get to read about life issues.

I pray for more insight and grace to be committed to this blog....and not to let you down by not posting any message...God help me...and you to visit regularly and invite more people to visit and read too. Can I hear an Amen.

Marching on

Hello people,

What have you been up to lately, Everyone thought after febuary "all will be well" i.e those that were really finacially broke. We forget that we have a father who is our great provider.

We should learn to depend solely on Him... we shouldn't just depend on our monthly income or financial income. Don't forget that he is forever the one who is able to meet all our needs ... i mean ALL.. not just financial... but especially emotional, we all bottle up a lot of emotions within us... we ask different questions... what, where, how, who.... in different situations of our lives...

I know He is interested in every little detail of our lives... the problem is if we would ever come to Him or acknowledge that fact.

Let's get Him involved it is very important and especially beneficial to us.
The 1st quarter will be rounded up very soon.... why not start involving Him now before we discover its already december...

Yesterday was the popular valentine's day... everywhere in lagos was filled up...even Mr Biggs was opened till 12midnite...
So where were u on the 14th of feb... and what were you up to? Many young people / christians get into all sorts of acts on this said celeb.

I am not of the opinion that a special day should not be set aside to express love... everyday should be celebrated... we are created to love and to be loved in return.
The bible says God is love... so how can u express any love if u don't know the author Himself.

Let's be careful wat we exhibit...Lust / Love...

Remember Love is about giving and sharing... so give and don't expect anything in return...you will be surprised you'll get the best of gifts.

Vision 2007

In a few months time, there'll be a change in batton from one government to another... A new dispensation... I've heard the saying that the devil we know is better than the angel we don't...but in this case this present regime must go with all the good and all the not too good theve done to the nation. I must say it has been one of the most interesting and thrilling governments Nigeria has had.... Why you ask... of cause for no other reason than all the drama that has ensued between diffrent sects of the administration... with different movie titles from impeachments to corruption, money laundering, illegal declaration of assests, kidnapping, bomb blasts, plane crashes, pipeline explosions ... i mean the list is endless...

We had a fair share of great improvement in the economy and even the cancellation of debts owed by the country by the paris club.... In all God has brought us thus far...

Looking forward... I don't know who will win the elections but I know God's plan for the nation Nigeria are indeed very good... what can i do as a good citizen.... just siddon look... no way...i can do better... first i know i can pray for my nation(the prayer of the righteous man avails much)... i can also register to vote... i can gather information about the different aspirants...to help me decide who to vote for... i also have to plan to go out and cast my vote...

We can't continue to sit back and complain... we must act...the little things we do or don't go a long way to affect our nations future... don't just sit and look... do something get involved... things might not be as good as they should(u may have no job, be on a strike from school, work for pennies...)No matter what....Abeg don't loose hope... Nigeria will be great again...and greater than before.

Act now... join the revolution for a great Nigeria...

Many days

Been almost almost three weeks since the last post... many waters have passed under the bridge... it has been tough and not easy at all. I've been fighting a singular temptation and it seems not to want to go away.... but the past 1 week has been a lot better.... because i decided to focus more on God. Not that i never used to but now i have to put in extra effort... i now rely on his grace more than ever .... God really is merciful.

I am the one in need of encouragement... not the encourager this time.

I hope to return to testify.

Been awhile

January the 1st month of the year 2007 will be over in about 9 days... I have a lot of plans to follow thru, goals to achieve before this fast year comes to an end.....but i discovered that there is one very important element that i need to get thru achieving all that I want to...
Many of the things I want to achieve require me spending large sums of money.... some require the help of people... I don't have the required sums and i don't know these people.... but i need to hold on to something... else i'd loose the hope of achieving my goals....

In all these... don't forget I have a father who knows the end from the beginning... He knows where the money will come from and He has the ability to raise up people to help me... He said something in "the book" that I should lift up my eyes unto the hills from where comes my help.... I know i have an all-mighty dad... but why is it not so easy to believe that he'll do all he says he would...

Where am I going... we all need an anchor to sail through this year... and that anchor is the ability to just believe Him i.e daddy ... it's high tyme we stop scheming things on our own and learn to trust him... the word at hand is to FAITH it thru this year....
Just have faith that because he is not a man that he should lie... therefore he will surely perfect all that concerns you, me, us this year.....

I'll be the 1st to testify...month after month...'cos I am making a decision to have faith that he is able to see me thru.... Start faithing tooo...

What leads us...

Amazing isn't it ... how time flies. Just a few days ago we were in another year...I thank God especially for the Grace to have life till now...as they say when there is life there is hope...
So 2007 is here and funny enough we are almost halfway thru the 1st month.
Will we just let time pass us by again as it has been doing in years past.

I know God's love endures forever... i.e last year, this year, next year...but we are never constant, maybe we can at least try and be constant this year. The last post was talking about being with Jesus... and this is the year to practise it or live it.

Let's take a stand today to reflect that we've been with Jesus or are in a constant relationship with Him. This is a year to reflect His glory and live for Jesus totally...we will be amazed at what great testimonies will abound from our simple effort. Remember it is not by power nor by might but by the spirit of God. So number 1 person we should go to now...yes i mean immediately...pause the reading... is the Holy Spirit. Who is the Holy Spirit?...I understand he is the comforter, the one with the directions, a teacher, but more than these He is the spirit of God, the spirit of life, the spirit of truth, the spirit of light. With all these amazing attributes...I know He is more than able to lead us through the year 2007.

Don't forget this is the year of perfection/completion...we need someone not with a 6th sense but with an infinity sense to lead us thru such a year as we are in.
Think on ways to live the year in the consciousness of the afore mentioned information.
