It's seems like yesterday when I wrote one down...it's another christmas and new year coming up... for some of us who are going mid-age we seem to be amazed at how time flies and check what we've been doing with our lives all these past years.
For the younger ones they are glad to grow taller and move up to another class in skull...
For me I think I'll just plan ahead so I don't end up broke in January... meaning I'll save alot from the extra bonus I'll get at my job and buy any important things I'll need before new year meets me... and everything becomes more expensive.
I love year ends because it gives us the opportunity to start afresh again... it makes me come alive and it's also a time to think back and look at how we lived the outgoing year...
I expect 2009 to be a year of great and tremendous surprises...let's not get discouraged yet by this global economic crunch.

The Beautiful ones are not yet born
I kind of believe this saying now... i've been on a long break ... the journey has been great and quite interesting... i owe all my thanks to God almighty...the ancient one...in my language He is called 'Arugbo ojo'.
I was delivered of a beautiful baby girl 'Oluwatise Nadia'... meaning thank God and Hope.
I appreciate Him for His faithfulness and love... and i am expectant of a great future with my daughter joining the family...
It's also true that experience is a great teacher... Childbirth can never be explained until experienced.... i had read alot...researched alot..thanks to babyweekly and pregnancyweekly...imagined alot... but the experience is incomprehensible... it's just awesome or betterstill an amazing one.
Anyway I'm great and my baby is the best in the world.

Another Mid-year crisis
Not for me anyway... I have been delivered... this time last year a lot of us were suffering from this syndrome called the Mid-year crisis.
In my own words, the mid year crisis is a term that can be used to describe the frustrations experienced by various individuals due to their inabilities to achieve their goals for the year and discovering that it's already mid- year.
Of course many are still suffering this plague even in 2008, but I think it should not always be how far... but how well... The little things you've been able to achieve (i.e if you have any) so far, how well did you do them ... or were they done with a sense of mediocracy. I personally think that whatever should be done at all, should be done well.
The bible says in all situations we should give thanks to God. So no matter how bad you've done I think you deserve to send some quality praise up... even if it's to say thank you for life.
As long as you're breathing then you can still achieve much more than you can imagine in the limited time left(so you think ) with God's magnificient help.
Talk to yourself and get down to business... else you'd be a victim of 'END OF YEAR CRISIS'

POWER HOLDING!!!
We used to call them NEPA(Never Expect Power Always) when I was a kid, as I grew older I found out they changed name to Never Expect Power At all ... During the last democratic administration names were changed again to Power Holding Company of Nigeria, as if it would really make a lot of difference(so we thought)... Rather they've always held the electrical power to themselves never distributing it for use by the people.
It's so frustrating that all businesses have to run on alternative power supply (generators).. everyone now manages their own power use by switching on/off the generators as they dim fit.
Let's not discuss the cost of this alternatives... it ain't heart warming at all. Homes too are not left out. Infact I overheard an elderly woman say She has to switch to her generating set whenever she wants to do any work on her computer so that she won't get the expected cut-off by NEPA/ Power holding(whatever..)
The new administration has made sure we are in more darkness(if there is anything like that) than in time past. I understand that His Excellency,The President even refuses to allow the generator to be switched on in the course of a meeting if there is power outage... all this to show solidarity with common people.
I recently read some stuff on the draw backs of the power sector and the fact that the major problem is that we do not have enough gas to power up the turbines(imagine with all the gas being flared). The major oil coys have sold out their gas productions for the next 10 years... so there is nothing to give for domestic use(i.e power turbines).
The whole scenerio is not painted nicely...
SOLUTION
The only way I know has always been to go back to God our Father... the one who has kept this nation from war and famine despite all odds.
Let's cry out to him to open the eyes of our understanding so we may know in which direction to go so as to see LIGHT... IN OUR NATION.

Consistency
Wow!!! It's not easy to be consistent... I thought it was but I'd eally love to testify that it's easy.
Why do we say we'd do something and never get round to doing it... why do we tell someone we'll call/come to visit when we know we won't.
I believe it really needs one to realize that you have to be accountable for anything you say/promise to do so as to get you down to doing it.
I pray this little sermon will have it's effect 1st in my life and then in the lives of my readers (you know the remove the speck from your eyes before the log in another scripture)

One down
We just started this new year like yesterday. Alas today is the last day of this new month.
We need to start the reflection now...before we get mid yr...how have we fared so far.
I would like us to touch on one little but big issue...ANGER... I can imagine all the things that make us angry around us....
